Gerard’s professional career began before he left high school, and propelled him through college at Metropolitan State (Denver), where he graduated in 1996, receiving a B.F.A. in sculpture. His academic pursuits where mixed with nomadic journeys through the Midwest and Florida, before returning home to his native state of Colorado.
An artist with broad skills, his choice of media for illustration ranges from graphite and charcoal to paints, watercolors, colored pencils and inks. For his sculptural work, he prefers stone, metals and various types of wood. Almost without exception, his perferred subject matter is anatomy; both human and otherwise.
His work has been well received in galleries and is represented in many private collections nationwide.
Gerard lives and works in Northglenn, Colorado with his family. |
